The Comac C919 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer Comac. The development program was launched in 2008. Production began in December 2011, with the first prototype being rolled out on 2 November 2015; the maiden flight took place on 5 May 2017.
 
C919 aircraft is the first jet type trunk liner independently developed by China in accordance with international airworthiness standards and owning independent intellectual property right. C919 aircraft has a layout of 158 to 192 seats, and a range of 4,075 to 5,555 kilometers. The first aircraft rolled out on November 2nd, 2015. On May 5th 2017, C919 made the first test flight. C919 aircraft obtained Type Certificate from Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on September 29th, 2022. The world's first C919 aircraft was delivered on December 9th, 2022.China's C919 jetliner goes into commercial operation on May 28th, 2023
